Rock and ROll Music은 척 베리가 1957년 9월 30일에 발표하여 빌보드 인기 차트 8위까지 진입한 히트곡으로 비틀즈에게는 1959년부터 1966년까지 라이브 무대의 애창곡이었다. 라이브 무대 레퍼토리 가운데 가장 오랫동안 연주했을 만큼 어린 시절 우상에 대한 그들의 애정은 변함이 없었다. 새로운 앨범 BEATLES FOR SALE을 위한 세션을 진행하고 있던 1964년 10월 18일 비틀즈는 단 한 번의 연주로 이 곡의 레코딩을 완료하여 척 베리의 곡에 대한 그들의 실력을 유감없이 발휘했다.
